For Quentin Faulkner, supporting Pine Street Inn as a member of the Paul Sullivan Society is more than a simple charitable donation. It's giving from his heart to his most vulnerable neighbors in the South End, where he has lived for more than 30 years.
Faulkner, an alumnus of Dartmouth College and Harvard Business School, was affiliated with the investment firm Loomis Sayles and is retired today. He and his three standard poodles are avid hikers in the mountains of New Hampshire, where he is involved in conserving land with a regional land trust. He also serves on the board of the Animal Rescue League of Boston.
Faulkner has been a generous supporter of Pine Street's Annual Fund for 19 years, and has named the Inn in his will. "Most charitable contributions go to organizations that donors are directly connected to," he said. "With Pine Street Inn, my contribution is going to help some of society's least fortunate get back on their feet."
