The following is sample language and intended to help you and your attorney in drafting a bequest that satisfies your individual interests. As you consult your attorney on the selection of appropriate wording to reflect your own goals and intentions regarding Pine Street, be sure the organization’s correct legal name appears in all final documents as:
“Pine Street Inn, Inc. a Massachusetts nonprofit corporation, or its successor, Federal Tax Identification Number: 04-2516093.”
“I give to Pine Street Inn, a Massachusetts nonprofit corporation, or its successor, Federal Tax Identification Number 04-2516093 ($___ or ___%) of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate”
There a number of types of bequests which include the following:
| General Bequest | a stated sum of money. |
| Specific Bequest | a certain asset from your estate. |
| Residuary Bequest | after other bequests and expenses have been paid. |
| Continent Bequest | if the Testator is not survived by certain individuals. |
| Unrestricted Bequest | used for our purpose, consistent with our mission. |
| Restricted Bequest | used for a specific, agreed on and stated purpose; please contact us to discuss. |
